mchades opened a new pull request, #14575: URL: https://github.com/apache/gravitino/pull/14575
### What changes were proposed in this pull request? Add Kafka topic character validation to `KafkaCatalogCapability` after the default name checks. Preserve the existing name restrictions and the behavior of other scopes. Add capability and REST resource regression tests that verify illegal names return 400 before reaching the underlying topic dispatcher. ### Why are the changes needed? Names such as `a/b` and `a=b` currently pass Gravitino's name checks and reach Kafka, whose rejection is returned as HTTP 500. Fixes #14574 ### Does this PR introduce _any_ user-facing change? Yes. Creating a Kafka topic whose name contains `/` or `=` returns HTTP 400 with an argument error instead of HTTP 500. ### How was this patch tested? - The new capability rejection and REST resource regression tests fail before the fix. - `./gradlew :catalogs:catalog-kafka:spotlessApply :catalogs:catalog-kafka:check -PskipITs` passes: all 20 unit tests, including 5 new tests. - `./gradlew :catalogs:catalog-kafka:javadoc -PskipITs` passes with existing missing-comment warnings. - `git diff --check` passes. - Docker integration tests were not run. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
