 Review comment:
   Going back to your original example, since we have `:` separator now. I 
thought there wont be a clash?  for e.g `US` , `AB` => `US:AB` and `USA` `B` => 
`USA:B` ? 
   
   I can go ahead and merge if you  want to keep this. let me know
