Thanks @hddong . I am using Spark installed by brew and `mkdir /tmp/spark-events/` fix the issue. IMO if docker is not possible then we may consider using a bootstrap script set up the environment for testing. Something like https://github.com/apache/impala/blob/master/bin/impala-config.sh. This script will be executed before every build.
