With 0.5.[1/2], Hudi stopped using renames for state transition. Hence, you are seeing separate state files for each action. All these files (except rollback) will be cleaned up as part of archiving. For rollback , here is the tracker ticket to do https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HUDI-1118. Would you mind listing .hoodie completely and provide as a link ? Note that if there are any pending compactions, then archiving will not archive any commits before an earliest pending compaction.
