I tried reproducing the issue, but could not.
set up:
Created a simple quick start table in 0.15.0 (both COW and MOR)
enabled mdt and col stats on writer.
Added more commits to ensure we have cleans kicking in data table which will
end up going in as deletes to col stats partition in MDT.
also, triggered delete operation to data table, so that delete log blocks are
added to data table.
tested below scenarios with both 0.15.0 reader and 1.0.0 reader
case a: out of the box
case b: enable data skipping on reads
case c: mdt enabled on read
case d: mdt enabled on read and enable data skipping on reads
All 4 cases succeeded in both 0.15.0 and 1.0.0.
So, closing it as not reproducible.
