This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage. Findings: this is a request to upgrade the Hudi version bundled by Apache Impala (currently 0.5.0-incubating) so Impala's HUDI_PARQUET read-optimized reader can support newer Hudi features such as clustering. That version is controlled entirely within the Apache Impala project - see bin/impala-config.sh (https://github.com/apache/impala/blob/master/bin/impala-config.sh#L287) - and changes are submitted through Impala's Gerrit review process (https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/IMPALA/Using+Gerrit+to+submit+and+review+patches), as noted in the comment above. There is no code change to make in apache/hudi for this, so it isn't actionable in this repo. Please file/track it against the Apache Impala project (JIRA + Gerrit) so their maintainers can bump the bundled Hudi version and validate the integration. Closing on the Hudi side as out of scope.
