This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage. Findings: async clustering is supported — `HoodieClusteringConfig.ASYNC_CLUSTERING_ENABLE` (hudi-client/hudi-client-common/.../config/HoodieClusteringConfig.java:298), surfaced via `HoodieWriteConfig:1985`. That covers the request in the title. The other half of the report — clustering instability and low concurrency — never got the details @xushiyan asked for in Dec 2021 (configs, code snippet, environment), so there is nothing specific left to act on here. If you are still seeing clustering failures or poor parallelism on a recent version, please open a fresh issue with your configs, Hudi version, and the failure output.
