This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage (HUDI-9706). **Findings: still open.** The body is a bare review-comment link, so the specific parsing site is only recoverable from that thread - worth restating here given the priority. Parsing a schema per record is the kind of cost that does not show up in correctness tests at all, so a benchmark or a flame graph attached to the ticket would make the case concrete. **One thing worth flagging to avoid a mis-triage:** the PR linked in the description, #13654 (`[HUDI-9669] Add schema on write support to hive`), **is merged** (2025-08-13). But that is the change this ticket was filed as a follow-up to - not a fix for it. Nothing indicates the follow-up work itself has landed.
