Applied -- the loop is gone and only `bulk_insert` remains, with a note
pointing at `TestTypedPartitionValues` for the `insert` coverage.
Also took the better suggestion: the two partition-pruning assertions are
pulled in, so the DATE case now checks that the recovered partition value is
what the predicate evaluates against.
