Closing without merging. Over three complete runs the Spark lanes went 447 -> 401 / 433 / 445 runner-minutes (mean -5%) while the five untouched engine jobs drifted from 129 to 154 on the same days, so the gain is inside the pool's noise; the wall clock did not move, and fta was +6 min in every run (per-class table above). The local A/B that motivated the change did not reproduce on a repeat. The one durable outcome is #19911, the partition-dependent blob reader rejection this exposed, fixed separately.
