CI on 3bdf305 shows what this draft is meant to show:
- `test-common-and-other-modules` (GitHub Actions and Azure CI): the only
failure is the `StorageBasedLockProvider` case of
`TestTransactionManagerSharedAcrossThreads#secondThreadWaitsAndCannotReleaseHeldLock`,
which fails both assertions:
- "a second thread entered the state change while another thread held the
lock";
- "another writer acquired the lock while the first thread was still
inside its state change".
The `InProcessLockProvider` case of the same test passes.
- `test-utilities`: passes. `TestHoodieDeltaStreamer` ran 199 tests here
versus 198 on master. The extra one is
`testAsyncCompactorSharesIngestWriteClientAndTransactionManager`, which
confirms that the async compactor holds the ingest thread's own write client
and `TransactionManager`.
- Azure also reported `TestHiveDriverPool`. That is an unrelated flake: it
failed on the first run and passed on retry.
So the red check is the reproduction, not a regression. I'll propose a fix
once we agree the behaviour is a bug.
