@Joy-2000 Thanks for sharing the details! Your screenshots show that projectIter is called even when there are no partition columns. In the [official Hudi 1.1.1 implementation](https://github.com/apache/hudi/blob/release-1.1.1/hudi-spark-datasource/hudi-spark-common/src/main/scala/org/apache/spark/sql/execution/datasources/parquet/HoodieFileGroupReaderBasedFileFormat.scala#L384-L417), that branch returns the Parquet reader directly.
