## Description Flink data skipping must conservatively retain files and partitions that can contain matching records, and must respect the configuration used to enable or disable skipping. This issue tracks confirmed problems and their fixes. ## Related issues - Incremental reads can lose historical records when partition stats pruning is enabled: #20480 - Record-level index pruning can run when data skipping is disabled: tracked in a separate sub-issue.
