Bryan Bende commented on NIFI-790:
----------------------------------

Joe, Thanks for reviewing.

- I'm not seeing the tab/formatting issue, but I will keep looking... wouldn't
it fail the contrib-check if that were the case? It is passing for me.

- Good call on the LICENSE or NOTICE updates. I will addresses that and post an
updated patch.

- It is true, there is no Ambari client, just a REST API. Went back and forth
about whether this require its own nar vs. going in standard-reporting-tasks,
seemed like something that we would want to be optional at some point when we
move to a registry approach, so figured break it out now is easier, but could
really go either way.

> Apache Ambari seems to be a good place to aggregate metrics and we're hearing
> from folks that want to use it.
> We should provide a reporting task that makes it extremely simple to send to
> Apache Ambari.
> Probably best to do a simple first pass of basic metrics off high-level flow
> summary stuff. So we can use that to get more detailed feedback on where to
> go with it next. Ambari seems to have a REST API to deliver to.
