…clone The rtttl-c repository clone from git.sr.ht frequently times out in CI environments (e.g. GitHub Actions Azure runners) due to SourceHut anti-DDoS mitigations and smart-HTTP negotiation latency. Replace the git clone invocation with curl downloading the release tarball, including retry logic and connection timeouts, followed by archive extraction and sha256 checksum verification.
