Good catch — this is a real correctness bug. Fixed in 2965797a77.
The pipeline-breaker opchain shares its leaf opchain's `OpChainId`, so it
fired this listener a second time and `_completedOpChains` reached
`_expectedOpChains` one early, dropping the real leaf opchain's stats. Root
cause turned out to be in `MultiStageStatsTreeEncoder`: the leaf's flat stats
already fold the PB (`LeafOperator.calculateUpstreamStats`), but the encoder
walks the *live* operator tree (`MAILBOX_SEND → LEAF`, size 2) where the PB —
having run pre-stage — is not a child, so `treeSize != flatSize` threw and the
stats were silently dropped.
Fix: suppress the redundant `PIPELINE_BREAKER` event and stash its root
operator in a per-request `ConcurrentHashMap<OpChainId,…>` (the PB always
completes before its leaf via the `CountDownLatch` happens-before in
`PipelineBreakerExecutor`); when the leaf reports, graft the stashed PB root as
the `LEAF`'s child so the encoder realigns with the folded flat list and emits
`MAILBOX_SEND → LEAF → PIPELINE_BREAKER → MAILBOX_RECEIVE` (the legacy shape),
using the real PB subtree so it's correct for multiple build sides too. Added a
deterministic encoder unit test (`testPipelineBreakerGraft`) and a semi-join
integration test that asserts the nested per-stage tree (counter-only checks
miss the silent-replacement case you described).
