Filed the tracking issue for Issue 3 as #12354: the `SET` / `ENUM` column type loses its value list on the DDL-event path, so a CDC-sourced auto-create `CREATE TABLE` can emit a bare `SET` and be rejected by MySQL. It records the mechanism layer by layer (bare `columnType` from `MySqlTypeUtils` -> `Column#getSourceType()` -> used verbatim by `MysqlCreateTableSqlBuilder`), the scope, and the fix direction (rebuild the type from `Column#enumValues()`, which Debezium already carries and `ConnectTableChangeSerializer` already uses). It also states plainly which link I could not confirm by execution - which string Debezium actually reports in `Column#typeName()` on that path - so whoever picks it up starts there instead of re-deriving the whole chain. Worth noting for the record: the snapshot path is not affected, because table structures discovered at job start come from the JDBC catalog and carry the full `information_schema.COLUMN_TYPE` literal. Only columns added by `ALTER TABLE` while the job is running lose the value list, which is why this is narrow rather than the general "MySQL-CDC cannot do SET columns" that it could be mistaken for. Nothing else outstanding from my side on this PR. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
