   Thanks @goutamadwant, that plan makes sense to me. Keeping the MySQL 
progress E2E slice separate and not treating a conflicting branch or cancelled 
checks as validated is the right call.
   
   Once the CDC reporting foundation lands, it would help to:
   
   1. Rebase so the diff is reduced to only the files this PR owns, and note 
that in the description.
   2. Share the results of the real MySQL restore/progress scenario runs you 
mentioned, including anything flaky you observe.
   3. Call out in the description any adjustments needed if the merged 
foundation contract differs from what the test currently assumes.
   
   Ping me when it's ready and I'll prioritize the review. Appreciate you 
keeping the scope clean here.
