Done — the follow-up is now tracked in #12562, covering both F2 (the wall-clock ordering race in `rediscoversFileAfterInactiveCursorClosed`) and F5 (the `untilAsserted` diagnostics gap), with the suggested state-driven choreography and accumulate-across-polls fixes from your review recorded there, plus your javadoc-pointer suggestion logged as a non-blocking item to land alongside either fix. On that javadoc pointer: to keep this PR's diff strictly to the constant and avoid cycling CI for a one-line non-blocking comment, I've deferred it into #12562 as noted above — happy to fold it in here instead if you'd rather see it land with the ceiling.
