I agree on the use of internal architectures being preferable to hard-coded lists. The tags were primarily introduced (IIRC) to handle cases where there is no internal architecture that could be queried, such as GPUs with no readily available table to look up, and with limited availability where the compilation shouldn't require queries to a local GPU. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
