The Google one is perfectly fine; cloudera ships it and tests it with their 
entire stack.
It has some clever features for parquet performance (footer caching) and 
implements iOStatistics.

Adding one here will only complicate things for everyone.

Is there something wrong with the google one or parts of it you think need to 
be changed? 

(BTW, you can also talk to google via S3A ... look at the third party api doc 
there)
