Resolution: Won't Fix
[Jira cleanup 2026-10-27] This is not specific to IPv6. {{getChecksumFile}}
works for paths with an IPv6 authority such as
{{hdfs://[2001:db8::1]:8020/dir/file}}. It fails only when the file name itself
contains a colon, and an IPv4 name such as {{10.0.0.1:9866}} fails the same
way, because {{new Path(".10.0.0.1:9866.crc")}} parses the part before the
colon as a URI scheme. That is the general limitation tracked by HADOOP-3257.
Closing as Won't Fix here and linking HADOOP-3257.
