Ananth: CDH pros: - Nice init scripts. - Integration with the alternatives management system. - Nice back ported patches. - Yum / Apt repository integration / easy updates. - Frequent bug fixes released. CDH cons: - Filing bugs with ASF is a bit weird because you may have slightly different code due to patches. This can be mitigated by filing bugs with Cloudera and letting them go upstream.
