IMHO, I think it is better to change (add) the jxpath release notice, too ... as one of jxpath users.
http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/components.html has as many access views next to http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/ , as statistics will show.
If there's inconsistency in the components.html page, commons-users might be frustrated or irritated ... I think.
