FYI, [events] in the sandbox is/was an attempt to create a set of decorators for collections that call listeners when objects are added/removed/updated etc.
The project began life in [collections] but was factored out as not ready (and to reduce the size of [collections] at the time of 3.0). There has been no recent activity. Its not that its a bad idea, but that it requires effort in time and doesn't scratch an itch of mine at present. Also, there were various comepting designs which made life awkward. I would not be completely averse to suggestions to rename [events], however I would like to keep the code in the sandbox at present. (PS, I think [collections-events] would be a bad name if there is also an [events]).
