Don't you believe that the Maven 1 conventions were changed with a good reason? It's absolutely plausible that the system of a root directory with hundreds or thousands of groupId's doesn't scale well. Apart from that, you are using a tool that draws its power from the conventions to which you adhere. So, why not adhere to it? Jochen -- Emacs 22 will support MacOS and CygWin.
