There is something wrong: maven 1 doesn't understand the <classifier> tag and <scope>test</scope> needs to be inside a <properties> tag (for the commons-logging dep).

However, none if this is the reason for the gump failure, (maven 1.0.2 doesn't complain about these things, maven 1.1 would), the problem is rather that gump uses jar.override and none of the dependencies that were added in rev 480401 show up in gump's autogenerated build.properties [1]. I guess they have to be added in the gump metadata file [2].
