I tried posting to [EMAIL PROTECTED], but can't unless I'm subscribed, and already feel like I'm on waaaay too many mailing lists. If you (or someone) could point out that the article isn't really about gender imbalance per se, but rather about what the gender imbalance reveals about deeper flaws (in our opinion) in open source, that'd be very helpful.

HI, Henri. Thanks for your posting to [email protected] about our article. I just wanted to say that the point of the piece wasn't the gender imbalance in open source per se, but rather that (a) the imbalance highlights a fundamental skew in the makeup of most open source projects, and (b) that skew is now hampering open source's growth.
