Stefano, thank you for reminding me of that repo and my intention to kill it off. Some of the changes in Shapely 1.2 will make a Python 3 port easier and worth a fresh start. I'm not interested in supporting Shapely 1.0.x on Python 3. At work, we're going to be deploying on Python 2.6 and sticking with that for a couple years.
