> Not really true... Europe have GSM 900/1800... They have two frequencies for different reasons. 1800 was added due to congestion on 900. In North America 850Mhz is longer distance due to higher output power. Read specs on cellular modules (hardware) and you will see 850Mhz is higher output power. That is why it is used more often in rural areas.
