Sarah is correct, of course. If you're in New England as well (as she seems 
to know/suspect), the best answer would be to harden it off (if necessary) 
and then bury the pot in the ground in a sheltered location.
    But I would NOT recommend leaving it above ground outside over night, no 
matter what kind of insulation you try.
    I had to baby sit one of these things here in PA beginning in Feb one 
year and did well taking it out during the day and bringing it in to a 40-50 
degree porch every night.
    Don't forget to water--they often don't have any real dirt down there, 
and winter air can be very dry.
