Hi, Folks!

Can't help on the fire hydrants as we haven't done that type of thing.  As
long as you are running pipe, have you looked into doing rainwater
collection from the health clinic?  No permits, it inspires other folks to
do the same and it makes the city much happier about giving you water if you
aren't getting it *all* from them.

On the fertilizers, why are you buying fertilizer in an urban environment?
Composting should give you everything you need.  Look into teaching worm
bins if you want high-nitrogen for seedlings or to side-dress squash, etc.
