Hi All,I am curious about what folks are building garden beds out of these days?I know the new pressure treated lumber is supposedly non-toxic, but I don't trust this assertion. Any thoughts?I have been building lots of garden beds out of untreated construction grade doug fir. 1.5 years into it, the beds are holdingup fine and I expect to get at least 5 more years out of them. I spoke with someone in Washington State who has said he has untreated doug fir beds still working after 7 years. Other questions---does lining beds with plastic increase lifespan?Any other ideas/thoughts about building raised garden beds would be appreciated.
