We do not live in a sterile world and never will. The AMA says do not use the solutions that say "kills 99.9999% of the germs". Our bodies must get use to the germs or they will kill us. Washing off vegetables with water does nothing but wash off the soil. It will not wash off germs nor chemicals.
Because I have never tried to live in a sterile invironment, I go to Mexico and Central America and drink the tap water and never get sick. Others drink bottled water and all get sick.
