This is a random stream-of-consciousness question. So there is this
garden with a small gold fish pond, and the local raccoons keep eating
the goldfish. The pond was re-stocked (with cheap comets) five times
but since the raccoons were eating them all and tearing up the plants,
too, it was decided to just throw a mosquito dunk (BT) into the pond and
call it a day.

Then, over the course of a couple weeks, by coincidence or by
correlation, a local honey bee hive (very nearby) population dropped
noticeably.

What do you think? They usually de-populate a bit after the bloom
season peaks, eh? Or did we kill them? Should we fish out the dunk and
get more raccoon food?
