Below is an announcement about an open house at the Gill Tract in Albany,
California, the site of last summer's Occupy the Farm movement. A result of
that movement is that the University of California has given the UC
Berkeley College of Natural Resources 10 acres for 10 years for urban
agriculture and agroecology research. I have been participating in the fall
research project there to grow as much food as possible, organized by UC
Agroecology Professor Miguel Altieri, and the fertility of that soil is
truly amazing! It is worth visiting the site just to see the incredible
production that can come from food grown in high quality agricultural soil

Feel free to email me if you have any questions about the research project
or the Oct 13th event.

If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, you might want to come to this
event ! Hope to see you there !
