What I have found is that most chemicals used in the pressure treatment process for wood is not considered organic. Since we strive to adhere to the gardening practices commonly known as "organic," we have moved toward using only header boards made out of a trex material. Trex material is more expensive, about 3 times more, but the longevity it has is what makes it well worth the cost. Trex material can last you about 20 years.
