Wow, thats a fast reply, Bruce, I was just about to recount how I'd
fixed the problem by specifying the route for the producers controller
in config/routes.rb just before the first mention of community_engine

  map.connect '/producers', :controller => "producers", :action =>
"index"
  map.routes_from_plugin :community_engine
