You can buy standard AT hard disk power splitters from most PC hardware 
stores and mail-orders. This will split the line from your existing hard 
disk into two and allow you to connect both drives to one supply line.
I forget wether the IIcx will take an external floppy drive, if it will 
it might be worth finding one incase you ne4ed to load a floppy of 
software on or off the machine. Also, depending on how big the existing 
hard disk is, I am dubious as to wether a 40MB would be of any use.
