Yeah, I did misunderstand him a bit, but the requirement of an installed OS is easy to solve: Get the 2-floppy System 6 install disks, and get the MountImage control panel to mount the first disk. In any case, Gamba came up with a real alternative. It has been a while since I tried it, but I'm pretty sure I was able to install 7.5.3 over AppleTalk without copying the entire 40MB to the smallish HD on my SE/30.
