Thanks for all the help! I think Gamba's advice will do the trick. It also
gives me a chance to take it to 7.1, use the RAM, quiet the Mac (except the
fan, of course), and still use it for what I want :)

I will still take note of all the other things (Sleeper, Silverlining etc)
which everyone was kind enough to tell me about.
