I made a mess of that. The Classic running 6 only has only has 2mb of 
ram  It uses about 400k according "About this Macintosh". One bar for 
the System-198k one for the Finder-1850k (which. I guess is the 
available memory). Part of the Finder bar is grayed, about  200k worth. 
That makes it about 400k. "About this Macintosh" doesn't display free 
available memory as later versions do.

Still cost the same amount of ram but hopefully faster? As to how? Like
