This is a cool idea, but I think I read on LowEndMac an article on benchmarking that said something about the PPC card upgrade not really giving the performance boost you are looking for, in fact they said it felt slower than the Mystic lc575 upgrade alone due to the 33mhz bus speed not letting the PPC give it's full potential. Of course, if you need to run PPC software this is a necessary upgrade. If you are doing this you should definitely do the VGA mod as any PPC games or software are going to be designed with the PPC in mind, which would mean some windows/graphics might be chopped off due to the lower screen res., you know? I haven't done it yet to mine, but all sources say that properly done it looks sharp as hell! .....................Mike T. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Compact Macs" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, April 12, 2002 9:52 AM Subject: Re: color classic
