I've built my Mystic and Power Mystic (thanks Stuart). I even have a CC/575 in use as a family web server. While I too find the Color Classic fascinating, I judge it about as "cute" as an unhealthy fat baby and it rivals the 630 and 8500 Macs for being awkward to work on. My point is that we are often complicit in trashing perfectly good Macs to produce a less capable (cute, darling, fascinating, whatever) Mac. While I couldn't give a good rat's ass about trashing 5xxx Macs, I do see many perfectly good 575 Macs being trashed to produce a Mystic and this does bother me. "...having a go at yourself..."? Yeah; like slavery, sometimes good people who do these things have to think about it before we see a need to put a stop to it.
