I now have two LaserWriter II's. The first was a NT. It worked for a while then
stopped feeding paper. I put (hefted :) it aside for later attention. Then I
found a GS for $12.50 in my local charity shop. It works perfectly, except my
room lights flicker when I've got it turned on! I think I'm going to have to
upgrade my Mac room wiring.
My question is should I swap the GS board for the NT? I would prefer to connect
the printer directly to my Ethernet LAN. That way I don't have to have a print
server Mac up and running just to use the printer. On the other hand if that's
not possible, I think I might as well stick with the GS SCSI interface. What
model/board am I looking for to do the ethernet directly?
