That is about the same you pay for a laserwriter II-series printer and probably a laserwriter select 360 or a quickdraw laserprinter (the so called personal laserwriters) . But I admit the 4mp has the edge because of the 600 dpi resolution combined with ethernet. For some jobs it pays to have a pure postscript printer instead of the emulated postscript of a Hewlett Packard but that is not often the case. A nice thing about both the 4mp and the lw II's is that the toners aren't that expensive. Later apple laserwriters like the 12/640 ps and higher have rather expensive toners. In my office I have several 'high end' laserprinters, including a Xante Accellawriter 3N for A3 and postscript 3 print jobs. You pay around 500 euro's for one toner for this beast. Naturally we only use it when we really need it. Most jobs are done on hp 4100's. -- ---------------------------------------------------------- Check out the System 6 Heaven: http://www.euronet.nl/users/mvdk/system_6_heaven.html Subscribe to the LEM system6 list: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ---------------------------------------------------------- -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
