thanks for the correction on cyanide. i do have an interest in toxicology though i obviously still have allot to learn.
re: the 68020 prices, i know, it is ridiculous, but that's the pricing from arrow etc. it is amazing considering how cheap the microcontrollers are, and you'd think it would have some impact on the value of old macs, particularly those with socketed processors and coprocessors! i'm very glad i saved mine! for instance, future active, for quantity of 14+ mc68020rc25e is $180.895 ea.! for 33 mhz it's $205 or 68030 for $74 ea. at 33mhz (the newer part is much cheaper!). MC68040RC33A are $276 ea. for 10+! a 68882 math coprocessor runs $41 to $89. it's insane, but those are the prices. i can only guess that they are expensive because they are being made in relatively small numbers at older plants, but it is still ridiculous! see for yourself at < http://www.future-active.com>, it has irritated me greatly that these old parts, still in production have such obscene prices! i've checked several vendors, other than surplus the prices are more than a used ppc machine just for a processor! the pickle wrote: ------- > Actually, cyanide binds very tightly to hemoglobin and impairs the ability of > red blood cells to carry oxygen to the cells.
