it was several years ago, but i found a board small enough to fit in the
se/30 power supply box that had something like a 140w or so rating. i
hadn't planed on snipping a corner off the board, but i had to and
fortunately there were no traces or parts too near that corner, since
the se se/30 power supply has a diagonal corner where it's next to the
crt. i don't know that they are still available, and until i organize
my garage i won't have access to the spare board i bought in addition to
the one i needed. i also had to cheat and use a 24v to 12v dc-dc
converter for the monitor +12 (it had a +12 output, but the se and se/30
use a seperate +12v for the monitor, probably because of noise
problems). i had to bolt the dc-dc converter on the outside of the
power supply box towards the back where there is some spare room. it
was painful, but effective. and it did require searching several
surplus catalogs, and i considered it amazing luck that i found
something that would work and fit the space available.
