The HD 20 actually used a modified MFM drive. It was designed to run off a
34 pin
floppy connector. The older drives, MFM and RLL both used a 34 pin edge
connector
plus a second cable (or third if you count power). It will not work with IDE
or SCSI.

MFM or modified MFM sounds plausible, but this does not have a 34 pin connector. I'm familiar with the dual cable MFM scheme having installed a number of them way back when. Anyway, there's no 34 pin connector on this thing, just the single 26 pin IDC (IDC is the name for hte ribbon cable connectors we're all familiar with) connector. There's no separate power connector, so power must be on one or more of those 26 pins as well.
