Today I purchased one of the biggest lots of Compact Mac hardware I have
ever seen in one place. I have spare cases and CRTs from Classics, SEs, and
an SE/30. In addition, I also acquired a few external hard drives and a
number of working machines.

I'm curious to know the rarity/coolness factor & details of a few things
from the find:

    Mac 512k with HyperDrive
Mac SE with MicroMac Upgrade (Control Panel: GemStart for the 16MHz
Mercury)

I'm curious about the SE upgrade, as it has a FPU option which is grayed
out.. I'm wondering the following: can the FPU be added, how much RAM can I
max this machine out to, any other suggestions? This machine has two
floppies AND a hard drive internally. Looks like it was loaded, other than
the small 2.5MB of RAM.

One of the SE's doesn't have the HDD "plate" in front of the HD. I have
another shell with the plate, but it appears "fixed" in place. Is this so,
or how do I remove it and install it in the new case? Would it be easier to
swap the fronts? This SE also is blurry on parts of the screen, and crisp
on others. I tried adjusting the focus, but it is still about the same.
Dead Mac Scrolls suggests replacing a resistor if the focus control doesn't
work, but I'm not sure if my problem is tube related or not. Also, the
picture is slightly tipped.. it says to adjust the yoke, but it appears to
be firmly glued in place.

Any information or suggestions are appreciated! I hope to make a LocalTalk
network soon... and I'm curious if there are any good network games out
there for this sort of thing? Also, any good programs for keeping track of
recipes? Maybe one could serve in the kitchen!

Thanks,
Chris
